Alliance for the Lost Boys of Sudan partnered with the international organization, CSI, by donating survival kits capable of supporting 38 displaced families in the Bahr-El-Ghazal region of Southern Sudan. The kits included blankets, tarpaulins for cover, sickles for cultivating, fishing lures, mosquito netting, pots for cooking and expandable water jugs. We've also partnered with CSI, to initiate 3 new Women At Risk G.O.A.T.S. Program in the Bar-El- Ghazal and Pibor areas of South Sudan.

In 2009, with the help of generous supporters and an anonymous donor, we were able to provide funds for construction of a new house for children at Michele Perry's orphanage in Yei, South Sudan. This house will provide safe and comfortable shelter (as well as screened windows) for 10-12 children and their caregiver. We also provided 30 beds.

From Michele: "Our children are so grateful to have such a lovely place to call home. Each of our children's homes in this part of the compound is named after a fruit of the spirit. Thank you for all you have done for my babies. Words are not enough to express the gratitude I have for you and all those who have joined hands and hearts to help us."

X-ray Clinic (During Construction)

In 2004, we partnered with the American organization “Partners in Compassionate Care,” by paying the short - term salaries of four Sudanese health care workers at the soon to be built Lost Boys and Girls Memorial Hospital in Werkok, Southern Sudan. In the initial stages of the memorial hospital, doctors worked from the confines of a straw hut. Today, doctors work in a new modern facility.Throughout the years, we have continued our support for this amazing hospital and in 2009, through the generosity of our supporters, we were able to pay for the construction of a modern X-Ray/communication facility at the hospital. Now completed, the X-ray/communication facility has vinyl, lead lined walls and air conditioning. We were privileged to partner with the "Southern Sudan Education Project," to deliver 300 pack backs filled with school supplies to rural villages located in the Bor region of Southern Sudan. We later donated funds to SSEP, both from the Alliance and from the sale of Joan Hecht's book, The Journey of the Lost Boys, to help with funding the construction of the Yomchiir Primary School. SSEP was founded by former Utah Lost boy, Abraham Akeech, who has since returned to Southern Sudan to live and is another fine example of one time, US Lost Boys, who are paying it forward and giving back to their homeland.

We partnered with the US organization, Servants Heart Ministries, by providing textbooks for approximately 1000 students attending two schools at Daga Post in Southern Sudan. Some of these students, from seven different regions, walk up to four hours each day in order to attend classes. We are so thankful to play a small part in ensuring that all children of Southern Sudan will one day receive an education!

For most villagers, it's a long walk to water. Once locating polluted rivers, muddy puddles or streams, the villagers, usually women and young girls, must carry the water in heavy jugs on their heads for many miles on the return trip home. We recently contracted with CARE International to drill two water wells in the birth villages of some of our local Lost Boys. These wells will provide fresh water for over 2000 rural villagers. We also contracted with The Radler Foundation to drill two additional water wells by the spring of 2012. With your help, we can drill many more!Read More

We continue to partner with numerous organizations and South Sudanese Diaspora by providing Water Wells, solar lights, GOATS for Women At Risk and other humanitarian efforts in The Republic of South Sudan. (SEE PHOTOS BELOW) In memory of former NBA star,Manute Bol,  we partnered with US organization, Sudan Sunrise, by providing funds to help pay the salaries of teachers at a school built by, Manute Bol in Turalei, South Sudan.
