Medical Funds Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Page 4 Page 5 Page 6

Because the Lost Boys have been malnourished for most of their lives and have also been subjected to a variety of life-threatening illnesses and disease, most still suffer from health and dental problems. Sadly, two of the Lost Boys have died since their arrival in Jacksonville, Florida in 2001. Others still carry the scars and bullets of government soldiers in their bodies from the attacks launched on them as young children.

To assist with these ongoing needs, the Alliance for the Lost Boys of Sudan Foundation has established the Lost Boy Medical Fund, available to Lost Boys who are living both in the U.S. and Africa, as deemed necessary by the A.L.B.S. board members. In the future and as funds allow, we hope to provide free immunizations and medical treatment to some of the Lost Boys living in Southern Sudan and area refugee camps, where treatable illnesses such as measles, malaria, rickets, and ringworm are still common. This Medical Fund is made possible only through the generous contributions of our individual and corporate sponsors.
