At Alliance for the Lost Boys of Sudan, we are BIG on giving back! Each of our scholarship recipients is required to perform volunteer hours in our community, but even those not attending college are eager to participate and pay it forward.

When first meeting the Lost Boys in 2001, they were dependent on their American sponsor organizations and mentors for everything, including food, furniture, clothing, jobs, advice, etc. I remember thinking to myself, if we can just take them to the point where they are extending their hands to give, rather than to receive, then we will have truly helped them to achieve the success of their dreams.
