Activities - Red Wagon Parade

Red Wagon Parade

Local Sudanese helped to kick off Jacksonville's, Mayor Peyton’s, annual Book Club by re-enacting Ms. Hecht's book “The Journey of the Lost Boys” in the Red Wagon Parade. Proceeds from the parade (approximately $50,000.) benefited Wolfson Children’s Hospital; allowing local Sudanese the opportunity of paying it forward by raising funds for the medical care of America's sick children, just as America provided medical care for them while they were living in refugee camps in Africa. Thanks Jacksonville Sudanese for Making a Difference!
